Twyfelfontein Country Lodge - Namibia
Die "Twyvelfontein Country Lodge" im Damaraland ist ein Zwischenstopp auf unserer Silvester Special-Tour. Der extravagante Bau aus Naturmaterialien fügt sich harmonisch in die bizzare Felsenlandschaft ein und beherbergt neben 56 Doppelzimmern auch Bar, Shop und Restaurant. Von hier aus ist es nicht weit zu den berühmten prähistorischen Felsgravuren bei Twyvelfontein. Die ältesten von ihnen sollen vor 6000 Jahren entstanden sein. Auch andere Naturwunder wie der "versteinerte Wald" und die "Orgelpfeifen" liegen in der Nähe.

The famous pre-historic rock art galleries of Twyvelfontein are not far away. The eldest carvings are told to have been created over 6.000 years ago. Other sight-seeings like the "stoned wood" or the "Organ Pipes" are also to be found nearby.
